International Journal of Energy Systems Planning and Optimization (ESPO) welcomes the submission of high-quality, original manuscripts that align with the journal’s aims and scope. Before submitting your manuscript, please read the following author guidelines carefully.
Original Research Articles: Full-length papers presenting significant theoretical, computational, or applied contributions.
Review Articles: Comprehensive overviews of current research trends, methodologies, or technologies in relevant fields.
Short Communications: Concise reports on novel methodologies or preliminary results of interest.
Case Studies: Real-world applications of energy system planning or optimization approaches.
Use clear, concise, and professional English.
Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word or LaTeX format.
Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, double-spaced.
Number all pages and lines consecutively.
Title Page: Title, author names, affiliations, corresponding author contact details.
Abstract: 150–350 words, clearly summarizing the objective, methods, and findings.
Keywords: 4–6 keywords reflecting the core content.
Introduction: Define the problem, motivation, and research objectives.
Methodology: Detailed explanation of models, algorithms, or experimental setup.
Results and Discussion: Present data with analysis and interpretation.
Conclusion: Summarize key findings and contributions.
Acknowledgments (if applicable)
References: Follow the journal’s citation style (numbered Vancouver-style, [1], [2], etc.).
Provide high-resolution figures (minimum 300 dpi).
Include figure captions and table titles.
All figures and tables must be cited in the text.
Cite only relevant, up-to-date literature.
Use a consistent and recognized citation format.
Provide DOIs where available.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere.
All submissions will be screened for plagiarism using appropriate software.
Authors must adhere to ethical standards regarding authorship, data reporting, and conflict of interest.
Submit your manuscript through the online submission system.
Include a cover letter briefly stating the manuscript’s novelty, significance, and relevance to the journal.
Clearly indicate the corresponding author and include email contact.
All submissions undergo blind peer review.
Initial editorial decisions are typically made within 2–3 weeks.
Accepted papers will be published online first before appearing in the printed issue.
